A closer look
Most online image compressors upload your photos to a server before shrinking them. PhotoCompressor doesn't. Compression runs inside your browser with WebAssembly codecs, so your images stay on your device from start to finish, and there's no account, watermark or upload queue. Drop in one photo or a whole batch of JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or GIF files. Use the quality slider, or enter a target size (for example 100 KB for an application form) and let the tool find the right setting. Each file shows its thumbnail, the percent saved, and a before/after slider so you can check quality before you download. You can save files one at a time or all together. PhotoCompressor works on desktop and mobile, supports dark mode, and is available in 15 languages, including Arabic with full right-to-left layout. It's completely free.
